Comments on: Running Windows programs on my Mac – without Windows

Hi,
I teach card game Bridge, & write software for Windows, upload it to my web-site, and my students download software to practice Bridge.
However, several of my students have Mac’s.
Do you know of any simple software which I can I set up here, upload to my web-site, & my students just download my program to their Mac & run it?
(ie no need to visit every student’s house to install software)

thats not good i too bought a mac book thinking that i can do what ever i used to do in my previous windows computer but…………….uuuuuuuuuuuf any ways thanks guys

I had thought about doing this with my primary Mac. It’s a 17″ MBP, 2.16 GHz, 2GB Ram.
A few people I know use Parallels and/or Bootcamp for their Mac’s. I seriously considered it. I looked at both of them but went on a purchased a refurbished HP Pavillion dvt 6000t. The HP is great but I only use it when working on a project for a client. I love my Mac’s.

send you one? nah! maybe if i get the upgrade, i can sell you one of the sticks, since you already have on in your system… a second would allow dual channelling… though you can get a brand new stick of 512MB PC2-5300 667MHz DDR2 SO-DIMM from Pacific Mall for about 60… don’t see why you can’t get one of those.

OMG, you’re running your MBP with just 512MB of RAM, what a waste of the MPB. I mean even my MB has 1GB of RAM, I’m even thinking of upgrading it to 2GB. Though I’m still in decisive, not sure if I should upgrade my MacBook or my Qosmio…
