I gave Riya a look for the first time today, and I must say, I’m impressed with the technology of the facial recognition that they use, but I’m also disappointed in the fact that the website is not really user friendly at all. It doesn’t seem like it’s easy for me to share my list of ‘People’ for instance and let others click on the faces to see which of my photos those people appear in.

Their Mac uploader (AND the Windows uploader) also has a lot of features, but are disabled, so I assume they are PLANNED features only, and so this is very disappointing because I can only either upload a folder or upload my entire iPhoto Library, and both are pretty inconvenient when I’d rather just upload, say, a single album from iPhoto.

Update: I took a look at the previous Riya website design, and I like that more than the existing one. It seems cleaner and easier to use. What happened?
