Get a Dell notebook, the XPS M1210.  It's lighter and costs the same as a comparable MacBook.

It was only a year old, which is the strange part. My 15" is 3 years old, and it's still fine. I'm thinking that the problem with the 17" must be with the power supply for it.</description>
