I get the exact same message that is displayed on the top of this page. How long does this last? My friends cannot view my profile and I haven’t been able to log in for last several hours.

Apparently this is a repeat issue for a LONG time. I’ve had My Space for a couple of years and have been very happy with it – I can’t even remember a time when the site was unavailable to log into.. EVER. Facebook has been a colossal P.I.A. from day one as far as I’m concerned. It’s irritating to navigate, not very versatile, and for some unknown reason I can’t access the first page I created even though I know I used the right login. I gave up and created a new one, and now for the last 3 days I’m faced with this stupid “down for maintenance” trash for hours on end, over and over. I’m left with the question WHY is that stupid site so popular??? I’m horrified that they were even considering charging money for it. They should be paying us to continue putting up with it. I’ll be recommending to my friends that they join me in My Space.

This stupid thing will not let me log on i talk to my family on here and this is the only way and when they need to talk and it won’t let me log on for 2 or 3 days it become really annoying and it sucks they need to stop working on the shit and it will work and the new layout whats that about they trying to be like myspace now?????

I am still going through this problem with Facebook for the past 4 days, I have found a # for facebook. I was able to talk to a live person. They said that it was some kind of bug, but they do not offer technical support over the phone. But I figure, why not swamp them with calls, since they do not answer any of our emails….

Same thing here, it’s been over 24 hours and it still says maintenance error… bla bla… I wouldn’t care at all if this didn’t strike at the worst possible time, I was just waiting for an important notification and puf, it’s been over a day and still nothing… I’m really fed up :S

I can’t log on today either – same “site maintenance” error message. My son in same town is having no problem! I think they rotate people to block and use site maintenance as an excuse!
