Desktop Tower Defense – an extremely addictive online game

towdef.jpgI’ve recently spent some time playing old games (meaning games for the NES and SNES) on ROM emulators, and that’s been a ton of fun. During these past few days, I came upon a game called Desktop Tower Defense, which is insanely addictive (and TechCrunch would agree.) I first noticed this game a few months ago, but I didn’t really bother with it since it didn’t look too interesting to me, what with the very minimal graphics. After playing with it for a few hours, though, I’ve come to see that it is a game that can dangerously extend the number of hours that you spend at the computer. If you have a few hours to spare, then take a look at this game and try to beat the Challenge mode that goes up to 100 levels. I’ve reached level 75 so far and I can’t get any higher!

Guess who wasted many hours on this game during exams this year?

You knew about this game a few weeks ago, AND you still can’t beat Hard level and Challenge level? Yikes! ;)

That game is way too addictive. I started playing it when TechCrunch mentioned it and it cost me a few days of productivity. I’m trying to avoid clicking it again but I know it’s just a matter of time before I give in.

Paul, I’m just trying to get to level 100 and once I do that, then I’m done with it – for good! :) Which is too bad I’m stuck at level 75, then ;)

Well I stopped playing after I beat Medium so there. And refuse to believe you got to lvl 75 using only the first two towers. You should’ve gotten crushed by lvls 50-53 if you did that.

Gary, I beat level 75. I don’t have a screenshot, but Blake was next to me.
Hard level is a piece of cake.

Adam, the Challenges are meant to be harder than Hard. I don’t believe that you beat level 75 because you can just keep on clicking the ‘Next’ button until the level is high enough ;) Show me a screenshot first. Normally, I would trust what people say, but it IS you after all…
